DropWatch ("we," "us," "our") operates dropwatch.ae (the "Platform"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights under the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on Personal Data Protection ("UAE PDPL").

What We Collect

We collect personal data only when you voluntarily provide it or when it is generated by your use of the Platform.

Register Interest submissions. When you submit a Register Interest form on a property listing, we collect your name, email address, and phone number. This data is used to connect you with a licensed agent or broker regarding the property you expressed interest in.

Name Your Price submissions. When you submit a Name Your Price request, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and your stated property criteria (community, bedrooms, budget, and any notes). This data is used internally by DropWatch to match your criteria against available listings. Your submitted price and criteria are never shared with agents or any third party.

Deal Drop email subscriptions. When you sign up to receive Deal Drop emails, we collect your email address, your consent to receive these emails, and any optional criteria you provide (target community, bedrooms, and maximum budget). This data is used to send you periodic emails highlighting property deals and opportunities that match your stated interest. You can withdraw your consent and unsubscribe at any time.

Agent registration. When you register as an agent on the Platform, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and your self-declared RERA licensing status. This data is used to verify your identity against listing data, route leads for properties you have claimed, and provide you with analytics on your claimed listings.

Property view tracking. When you view a property listing page, we record the page view at a session level. We do not use persistent user identifiers, cookies, or fingerprinting for this tracking. View counts are displayed in aggregate on claimed property listings. Individual viewers are assigned temporary, randomly generated reference labels (such as "Marina Investor" or "Gulf Buyer") that do not identify you and are not stored beyond your browsing session.

We do not collect payment card details directly. When payment processing is introduced, it will be handled by a PCI-compliant third-party payment processor.

How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data for the following purposes only:

• To route your Register Interest submission to the appropriate licensed agent or broker
• To process your Name Your Price submission internally and notify you of matching properties
• To verify agent registration details against public listing data
• To display aggregate property view analytics to agents who have claimed listings
• To communicate with you about your submissions or account
• To send you Deal Drop emails and property opportunities you have consented to receive
• To improve the Platform and fix technical issues

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.

Who We Share Data With

Register Interest submissions on claimed properties are shared with the agent who has claimed that listing. The agent receives your name, email, and phone number so they can contact you about the property.

Register Interest submissions on unclaimed properties are handled by DropWatch's founder, who is a licensed real estate broker in Dubai. Your data is not shared with any third party in this case.

Name Your Price submissions are never shared with agents or any third party. Only DropWatch's internal team has access.

We never sell your personal data. We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for their own marketing purposes. Deal Drop emails are sent by DropWatch only, to subscribers who have opted in, and your email is never shared with a third party for this purpose.

Service providers. We use third-party infrastructure providers (hosting, database, scraping services) to operate the Platform. These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their own data protection obligations. They do not have independent rights to use your data.

Data Retention

• Register Interest and Name Your Price submissions are retained for as long as they remain relevant to an active property listing or your stated criteria. You can request deletion at any time.
• Agent registration data is retained for as long as your agent account is active on the Platform.
• Property view session data is not stored beyond the browsing session. Aggregate view counts are retained as part of property analytics.

Your Rights Under UAE PDPL

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data held by us
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Delete your data (subject to any legal retention obligations)
• Withdraw consent for processing at any time
• Unsubscribe from Deal Drop emails at any time, via the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us
• Object to processing for purposes beyond what you consented to
• Request portability of your data in a commonly used format

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. These include encrypted data transmission, access controls, and secure infrastructure hosting.

Children

The Platform is not intended for use by anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

International Data Transfers

Your data is processed and stored using infrastructure providers that may operate servers outside the UAE. Where this occurs, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with UAE PDPL requirements.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
